Canoe Trip
So one day I was in camp hiking up to Picture Window and this kid who resembled Drago from Rocky III tried to push me down. I nailed him with a rock. That started an all out camp war between his troop and the the Hill and as the old saying goes, You can't beat the Hill. We fought all summer long. Drago (his real name is Mark), tried to be Mr. tough guy. Then came the canoe trip. His troop v. mine. He came over and swamped my canoe. Two little kids from his troop yelled out ha, ha Chappy got swamped. Bergy and me picked up their canoe and dumped them into the water. They cried. Then Drago's canoe got swamped. He swam over to my canoe. Bergy and I were sitting on the top of it laughing. He was trying to grab on for life. As he swam and grabbed the canoe I was ready to strike his head with a paddle. He screamed out, please I can't swim and was pretty close to tears. Of course we knocked him off our canoe and lamely he doggy paddled back to his canoe. That ended the war. Mr. Tough guy was now the joke of the canoe trip.

Ray Davies
Last night, I saw Ray Davies. I always liked the Kinks. Anyway, Ray's show brought back memories of listening to the Kinks in camp.
Moving on to other things, for some reason Dutch oven building contests just popped into my head. We would work all week on building our oven and then have a bake off over the weekend to see who could bake the best cake.
Some of the ovens fell apart when the campers lit the fires, while some baked delicious cakes.
Anyway, we had other cooking events in camp too. Later-MS

Campfire at least I wish I was at one
The campfire is just ending. It was so much fun. Of course, the BBQ before it was awesome. I stood in the front of the grills and made lots of food. We had a great time in the Chappy Dining Hall. Anyway, we had all the usual skits-Charlie the Conductor, Rodney and we sang some fun songs. We even sang the Smokey the Bear song.
If any of you really went to camp, please comment.

Time to get up
Well around this time I'd be in the palace waiting to scream Troop 721 time to wake up. Fall in 30 minutes. We would all rush out of bed and off to the latrine to brush our teeth, shower and get ready for a disgusting camp breakfast. After breakfast we'd clean the site and go to our merit badge classes. Those who didn't earn badges were on the s**t list and had to clean pots after the Saturday evening BBQ. It almost time to go to camp. Of course, I'm not going. But we can dream.
