Genny Cream Ale
I learned to drink in camp. We used to drink Genesse Cream Ale. Great beer. We called it Genny. Years later, I dated or was in love with several girls named Jen. All of them are nuts. I think my affinity for Jens must have came from drinking Genny. Anyway, Jens are my kryptonite. But there was nothing better than sitting on the hill in camp and drinking it.

Rain in Camp
It is raining. When it rained in camp the Hill flooded. I loved it. We would run up and down and get drenched. Sometimes we did fun barbecues in the downpours. I would cut veggies under the tarp and have them spell out Chappy or 721.
Canoeing in the rain rocked too.

Good Morning
Gracious Giver of all good,Thee we thank for rest and food.Grant that all we do or say,In Thy service be this day.Amen
Time to eat the slop in the Kunatah Dining Hall. Then it is Happy Hour time. Yup, who didn't love cleaning the latrine? Perhaps cleaning around the terrarium was more fun. Anyway, get that latrine sparkling and then off to merit badge classes. Later on we have Chappytraz

The Delaware River
Nothing beat a Delaware Canoe trip when Rodney was at the helm. We would start swamping canoes the second we got onto the river. Of course, Rodney would collect the dead fish that were floating around the Delaware and throw them at out as you paddled by his canoe. Dead fish fights became a standard of our canoe trips.

Getting Nuked
Getting Nuked is having to stay late after a meal to clean the dining hall. Usually you were nuked for acting like a pig during the meal. Keep this blog clean. it is about having fun in camp and growing up.
What could be better at Camp?
Well the food. You see, the food in the Kunatah Dining Hall was nasty. But I got to nuke people. Poor old Bubba got nuked more than anyone.
I once had to clean all the pots after the camp blowout party in the Chappy Dining Hall. Summer of 85. How cool it was.
Then there was Chappytraz and running down the hill when it poured. Camp rules. Go Fireball, Manage!!

CH
Well, someone once said to me your parents didn't love you that's why they sent you to summer camp. He couldn't have been more wrong. In fact, my parents love me more than anything and yes, they sent me to summer camp. Those years were the best years of my life. Where else could you grow and develop? The years I spent in Chappy, a site in Camp Kunatah of the Ten Mile River Boy Scout Camp, Narrowsburg, N.Y. shaped my life. I mean where else could you live and learn from characters like Rodney Moronic, Uncle Funky, Dr. Greyhead, the Beach, Bergy, Alan, Bubba, Cousin Keety, TJ the DJ, and so many more?
You could walk by Gene's Castle, watch movies in the Palace and dine on El Monaco's finest.
You can't beat the hill!
But camp is more than the crazy characters. Or is it? You can have dead fish fights along the Delaware River, clean a latrine, BBQ, play Ultimate and hike to Slob Landers. What could be better?
